Conference desciption

The 9th International Conference "Mechatronics Systems of Vehicles and Heavy Machinery” is a continuation of the International Symposium "Automotive Mechatronics - Problems of Education" organized by the our Faculty on April 7, 2006 and devoted to the broadly understood problem of professional teaching of automotive mechatronics.

Contemporary vehicle, being a product of widespread use, generates significant operating costs (direct and indirect: environmental pollution, health and life threat), engages significant socio-economic potential. It is also a determinant of the progress of civilization. Vehicles become complex systems, interpenetrating closed-loop automatic adjustment systems, very varied parameters optimizing engine performance, passive and active safety systems, and comfort systems. It is also a mechanical, electronic and IT product, with a minimum of 10 years of operation in a deteriorating state of technical efficiency. The service and repair of such a complex object, which is becoming a modern car, brings new diagnostic and educational challenges.

The conference was divided into three parts:

  • • the first part, dedicated to the safety and maintenance of electric vehicles: PhD Eng. Piotr Piórkowski with a paper on autonomization of electric vehicles, prof. Jędrzej Mączak - Internet of Things, prof. Krzysztof Polakowski - Dangers to which electric vehicle users may be exposed and ways to prevent them;
  • • second part, dedicated to the 10th anniversary of the creation of the Integrated Laboratory of the Mechatronics System of Vehicles and Construction Machinery (MSoVaCM), in this session will be: prof. Stanisław Radkowski with a summary of the activities of MSoVaCM, and then the achievements of individual laboratories will be presented by: PhD Eng. Krzysztof Szczurowski - Laboratory of Vehicles Mechatronics; prof. Bartyś Michał - Laboratory of Automation Networking Systems; prof. Zbigniew Żebrowski - Laboratory of Heavy Machinery Mechatronics; PhD Eng. Marcin Wojs - Laboratory of Agricultural Machines Mechatronics;
  • • part three, including presentations of posters in the field of construction and operation of mechatronic systems.

Framework of conference plan (11:15 - 15:40)

  • 11:15 - 11:30 Opening of the Conference
  • 11:30 - 12:50 Plenary papers
  • 12:50 - 13:00 Break
  • 13:00 - 14:40 Plenary papers
  • 14:40 - 15:40 Poster presentations (lunch)

Participation in the conference is free of charge.

Registration of conference participants will take place exclusively using electronic forms for the above-mentioned conference website to date 20.11.2017 r.

Abstracts of papers (up to 4 pages according to annexed design) please also send through the above website to date 20.11.2017 r.

Abstract form

The presentation at the plenary session takes 20 minutes (15 minutes presentation, 5 minutes discussion, slides in English).

Posters should be prepared in A1 (vertical) format, in English.

The full text of the papers, after a positive opinion, will be published in the following journals: Proceedings of the Institute of Vehicles, The Archives of Automotive Engineering, Diagnostyka, Machine Dynamics Research.

Please send the full text of the papers by 22 February 2018 by the website:

At the request of authors, full texts of papers can be sent to other journals (after a positive review an additional fee for printing them - the data for transfer to the relevant journal page):

 Measurement Automation Monitoring 150PLN/per page - black&white, 200PLN/color- page) (english),

 Przegląd Elektrotechniczny (150PLN/per page - black&white, 200PLN/color- page) (english),

Please send the full text of the papers by 31 December 2017 by the website:

Printing of articles after a positive review will take place in the 1st and 2nd quarter of 2018.

All of the aforementioned journals are on the list of journals of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education.

1. The condition for a referral to a review article for the magazine's paper is the participation of the Author in the conference.

2. Failure to adhere to the guidelines for formatting of the contents of abstract and papers results in failure to accept the article submission for conferences.

3. The Organizing Committee does not fully editing the texts of submitted papers. Only cosmetic adjustments are possible, if needed.

4. All papers will be reviewed. In Proceeding will be papers only after positive review.
